South Australian holiday, Chook Shed birthday

We have been home for 1 month now and it has taken me this long to get the photos organised and do this post. How slow can one get!

Last weekend was Chooky's Chook Shed 4th Birthday celebration. It was a very wet weekend-- so was ideal for sewing. I joined in the sewing on Saturday and this is what I made.It now holds most of my rulers. I wont have to go hunting for the ruler I want!

Until next time.

A Day by the Sea

I received a lovely email from Homespun magazine today-- enclosing a photo and comment from a lady called Bev who had made a cot quilt version of my quilt that was featured in the January Homespun magazine. I was very pleased to see it. It is always nice to see what someone else does with one of your designs.
Here is Bev's version of the quilt:

Thank you Bev. I just love your version of the quilt.

We have just returned from a 10day holiday to South Australia. I have tried downloading my photos from my phone to the computer, but for some unknown reason, it won't do it. I find this modern technology very frustrating. Now I have to wait for my kids to come over to work out why. So I cannot show you any photos at the moment. I do have s few photos on my Instagram site. My IG name is YvonneWDesigns.

Cheers,
Yvonne

Exciting new Quilt

The postman delivered my copy of the January 2016 Australian Homespun magazine. I could not wait to open it.
Over 7 months ago, my quilt had gone off to the Homespun office to be photographed etc for the January issue. It has been hard to keep my mouth shut about this quilt for all that time.  So you can just imagine my excitement to see it in print.

In the meantime, I have just cross stitched this small sheep/bird design and enjoyed the simplicity of this design.

I missed out on FNWFs as we had family staying with us. I will have to join in the next one which will be in February.
Back to work tomorrow.

Have a good week.
Cheers,
Yvonne
