I have joined the S-A-L group

What got me started in the blog world was the fact that I needed a blog to join in the S-A-L group. It is a big learning curve for me attempting this feat.
The great news is that now I have been invited to join The S-A-L ladies!.
I will have to look at my stash and get out the fabrics and start on the quilt-- luckily, I have the book already as I had bought it at the Darling Harbour Show in June 2011.
It is lovely to be able to chat to like minded ladies with similar interests in craft. In my home and working world, unfortunately, I do not know many people who are craft minded. Craft takes me to a different level of thinking and helps me relax and I am sure  all you craft minded people know what I mean.
I am looking forward to this new journey!
Cheers,
Yvonne

Great job on setting up your blog Yvonne. You will love the SAL group, so many different versions of the quilts, and lovely ladies too. I am one of those slackers who still has to get my first quilt finished, and then I'll be joining you all on My Favourite Things!

Welcome to the SAL, and to bloggy land in general.....I also live in a town with very few people who share my passion for all things fabric, but blogging has enabled me to come in contact with many like-minded ladies, some of whom I've met in person, and have become very fond of....have fun, and enjoy your journey.....

Hei Yvonne, greetings from far away... from Finland! I'm so happy that you decided to start a blog and you are one of the SAL stitchers too. I have blogged since August 2008 and I'm amazed how small the world really is! I've got many craft-minded friends all over the world... so I'm looking forward to our first stitching journey together ;o)

Hi Yvonne,
Ali from BOP NZ here. Chooky told us about your new blog, so here I am visiting. You will find you have less time to create cause you are reading blogs, but I think it is a plus. It is inspiring, rewarding and fun seeing ( I love photos on blogs ) and reading what other creative souls are doing. You certainly become quite close frinds with other blog folk.
Enjoy and Welcome to blogland.

Hi Yvonne-welcome to blogland and all the fun things you will discover. I'm in Chookyblue's SSCS group. I've only been blogging for about 4 years and don't always keep up as I should. But I love to post pictures of all the wonderful things my friends and I make and to search the web for new free patterns to try. Stop over and visit some day.

Welcome to SAL...I had done some embroidery before, mostly crewel when I saw a friend doing some redwork...I thought I'd like to do that too...I had just learned to cross stitch a few years before...then I found SAL, I loved the first two pieces we did...I was a little fearful of the needle turn applique as it was a new thing for me but I'm loving it.
